The band was formed in England was was founded by Jimmy Page who played guitar, Robert Plant, who held lead vocals, John Bonham, who layed the drums and John Pual Jones who played the Bass and keyboards. Led Zeppelin was the one of the first bands to mix all different types of music together. They incorperated, the blues, folk, jazz, and many other types of work in their music. While they were doing this they also could rock hard. The band split up after John Bonham was killed by alcohol poisening. Although they brroke up such a long time ago, they're music is still played all the time throughout the world. Jimmy Page influenced every single guitarist that came after him. People after him wanted to be just like him, play just like him. He was the man of the 70's. Another influentioal band member was Robert Plant. He was a great singer and frontman and he influenced how singers in the future would act. John Bonham was an amazingly talented drummer that influenced drummers with his amazing fills and long solos. John Paul Jones was an amazing bassing but his skill at the keyboards also contributed to his talent.

They were formed by these men in 1968 in Birmingham, England. Throughout the 70's they had numerous gold and platinum records along with sold out world tours. Ozzy Osbourne had the biggest impact on rock history. He was an amazing singer along as an amazing showman. He would do crazy things on stage to please the audience. One freaky thing that happened to him at a concert was that during the show he was going to do a trick where he eats a fake bat's head, but the backstage guys accidently gave him a real bat and he ate the head off of it. People today would act much different on stage if it weren't for him. Another mark he left in history was a little event called Ozzfest. For years bands would play at Ozzfest and it would be a huge concert created by Ozzy Osbourne. After Ozzy was fired from the band in 1979 he went off to have his own solo carrer. But overall the bands effect on rock and roll was huge.

The band members are Angus Young, on lead guitar, Malcom Young on rhythm guitar,their first lead singer Bon Scott, Phil Rudd on drums, and Cliff Williams on bass. This band left a huge impact on rock over the years. They were a band that played really loud and hard. This influenced bands in the future to play loud. Another significant detail that left a mark was Angus Young's outfit. He always wore a schoolboy uniform. This influenced people to play well but also focus on your wardrobe because people liked that. Another thing they did that is great is the shows they had. They always had a great live show. People were always interested and never got bored because they used big props, came out into the audience and many other things. When singer Bon Scott died in early 1980 the band was thinking about quitting until singer Brian Johnson came. He replaced Bon and AC/DC still rocks hard to this very day.

Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart formed the new band Rush in the early 70's and "brought back rock from the dead" some critics say. Rush is a major insrumental group, each individual in the band is highly talented. Geddy Lee is a keyboardist, bassist and the vocalist for the band. Alex Lifeson is the guitarist and Neil Peart is both a drummer and a lyricist. Rush started out as a heavy metal band to a band playing mostly hard rock. Rush was influenced from The Who and Led Zeppelin and progressed with their style of mussic. Soon enough Rush was inspiring many bands such as Metallica and Dream Thearter.Over the course of their careers, each individual of Rush has been acknowleged for being some of the most proficient players on their respective instruments. Rush came out with the the album Mobing Pictures in 1981 with one of the best known songs by them "Tom Sawyer" which guided them right into the spot light. This band was highly influenced by others and then in return they them selves influenced the future generation.

This band is one of the craziest bands out there. This band has four members who were Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer, Tommy Thayer. It started in New York City in 1972. In this band it was easy to identify them, because these men would wear face paint and would have costumes on. Their live preformances were also unbelievable while also having most unusual preformances. They would include fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, and pyrotechnics. This band had great songs and would be catorgorized under Heavy Metal or Hard Rock. This band influenced America, becuase now all the fans would wear these exotic types of make-up. Also they wud act differently, they started getting a little but crazier and also would younger kids would start to get rebelious.
